Stephen Nicolatus, ASA        email: steve@westernva.com

Mr. Nicolatus has prepared numerous feasibility studies and participated in litigation support ranging from personal injury and wrongful death cases to complex antitrust matters and fairness opinions. Has also prepared more than 4,000 valuations of companies and professional practices, including a number offered for sale to the public. Valuations prepared include medical and dental practices, law firms, construction companies, restaurants, retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers in a number of industries. Former Adjunct Faculty with the University of Phoenix since 1985 and has served as the University’s Utah Division Area Chair in Economics from 1986 to 1994 with responsibilities including curriculum development and faculty training. Has taught more than 50 classes in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and managerial economics at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Mr. Nicolatus has provided expert testimony relating to economic and business valuation issues in State and Federal Courts and in Arbitration on many occasions in Utah, Nevada and Montana.

Mr. Nicolatus is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers – Business Valuation and  a Member of the Institute of Business Appraisers. He holds a B.S. in Political Science, Cum Laude from the University of Utah, a Certificate in International Relations awarded by the University of Utah, and a M.S. degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Arizona.


Jeffrey Nash, ASA, CFE

Mr. Nash is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers in Business Valuation, and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He has been involved in the appraisal profession since 1992, participating in numerous business valuation engagements covering a wide range of business segments including construction companies, manufacturing companies, law practices, limited partnerships, medical practices, service companies, and various retail businesses. Valuation engagement purposes include ESOP and other employee plans, estate and gift taxes, stock acquisitions, mergers, litigation and others. He has also evaluated economic loss suffered by individuals in wrongful death and personal injury cases and has been involved in a wide array of other financial analysis and consulting activities for clients. Mr. Nash has provided expert testimony relating to economic and business valuation issues in State and Federal Court.

Mr. Nash is member of the American Society of Appraisers, and has held the posts of President of the Las Vegas Chapter from 2011 to 2013, and President of the Salt Lake City Chapter from 2001 to 2003. He holds a B.S. degree in Finance and an M.B.A. from the University of Utah.


Peter Agrapides, AVA

Mr. Agrapides is an Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA) Member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). He has prepared numerous valuations of companies, partnerships and professional practices. Valuations prepared include medical and dental practices, construction companies, retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers in a number of industries.

Mr. Agrapides is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He an instructor for NACVA continuing education courses conducted throughout the country, and makes regular presentations to professional trade groups on business and estate valuation. Mr. Agrapides is the publisher of the Case Law Corner article featured in the bi-monthly issues of The Value Examiner, the professional trade journal of NACVA. He holds a MBA from Westminster College and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Utah.


Nicholas Boyer, AVA


Mr. Boyer is an Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA) Member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
He has participated in numerous business valuation engagements covering a variety of business segments including construction companies, manufacturing companies, law practices, family limited partnerships, medical practices, service companies, and various retail businesses. Valuation engagement purposes include ESOP and other employee plans, estate and gift taxes, stock acquisitions, mergers, and litigation. He evaluates economic loss suffered by individuals in wrongful death and personal injury cases, and has been involved in an array of other financial analysis and consulting activities for numerous clients.

Mr. Boyer holds a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Utah.


Robert Millar, Office Manager & Research Associate

Mr. Millar manages the Salt Lake City office and provides company, industry, market, and economic research support to the valuation team. He holds a B.A. degree in Industrial Design from the College of Design (Detroit, Michigan) and has spent his career developing products, markets, and businesses for several multinational companies and other enterprises, including co-founding a publicly traded medical device company.
